Part of a group of negatives taken for October 26, 1962, Arkansas Gazette article "Rover Finds Ozark Folk Festival Running True to Form," B1:2, October 30, 1962, Arkansas Gazette article "The Ozark Folk Festival Was Really a Big Success," B1:2, and October 31, 1962, Arkansas Gazette article "Some Young'uns Are Good at Ozark Folklore," B1:2. For the 15th annual Ozark Folk Festival at Eureka Springs, Carroll County, Arkansas, various people participated in a parade through the downtown area and also sang and played instruments in the festival. During the festival, the Skunk Holler Gang played with D.D. Deaver on the jug. The October 29, 1964, Arkansas Gazette article "Report on the Genuine Touches at Eureky," B1:2, states the Skunk Holler Gang was from Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas. The group included Ed Terry, Billy Hughes, Doyle Clark and his wife, Joe Robinson, Austin Craven and D.D. Deaver. Their instruments include guitars, fiddles, banjo, Jew's harp, accordion and an earthen jug.
